What is Medical Massage?

Medical massage is designed to treat diagnosed medical conditions. Unlike general massage therapy, which primarily focuses on relaxation and stress reduction, medical massage aims to address specific health issues.

Medical massage is performed with the intent of improving medical conditions or pathologies. It requires a prognosis or prescription from a physician. Coordination with healthcare staff is essential before booking a medical massage session.

Personal Injury Protection (PIP)

Personal Injury Protection (PIP), also known as no-fault insurance, covers medical expenses arising from a car accident, regardless of who is at fault.

What You Need to Know

• Eligibility and Verification:

  • PIP is accepted for open and active claims.

  • All claims must be verified before your initial massage appointment.

  • It is your responsibility to stay informed about your PIP balance. Massage Synergy is not responsible for verifying your balance.

• Booking Your Appointment:

  • Email your claim information to Massage Synergy.

  • Include your date of injury, claim number, and the claim handler's contact information.

  • Once your claim is verified, we will contact you for the initial appointment.

Insurance

Unfortunately, we do not accept medical insurance at this time. We may in the future.

However, we do accept FSA/HSA with a medical prescription for massage and can provide a superbill for you to claim your insurance.

Labor & Industries (L&I)

Labor & Industries (L&I) is Washington State’s workers’ compensation insurance system. It covers work-related injuries and illnesses, providing benefits such as medical care, time loss compensation, vocational rehabilitation, and more.

We currently do not accept L&I but may offer it soon.
